FoxNews Comments from tonight’s Presidential debate: (emphasis mine)
- “I think Senator McCain did a great job. He addressed more of the questions than Senator Obama did. I felt he really addressed the issues put to him. I don’t think people understand the big picture the same as Senator McCain and a lot of us Republicans do. The government cannot run our country, only guide us. I think Senator McCain understands this. I don’t think people understand either, that if people like him hadn’t served our country, we wouldn’t have the freedoms we have now. Iraq was not a mistake. I wish there was something specific I could say to those who are undecided that would sway them towards Senator McCain.”
- “McCain answered the questions, Obama often gave snippets of his speech. Obama was predictable using phrases like “the last eight years” in hopes to link McCain and Bush indelibly together in the minds of the American Public. I think the American public is smarter than that. Obama should have gotten a few more terms as Senator under his belt before running for the highest office in the land and the most powerful man in the world. Either candidate will bring some kind of change…. I support McCain as the man of experience and the man to bring the kind of change I can live with. Bottom line? Obama scares me.”
- “As a Veteran, I am appalled that anyone would vote for McCain. I have buried too many of my soldiers because of failed policies that he has cheered on. A war hawk is not needed now. America is too busy to lose to a bunch of discrimantory and unfounded policies. Not only did Barack Obama win, but mcCain looked pitiful and needs to retire to the VA. Please, put your pillow-case hoods and confederate flags down, and vote for a better country.
- Obama clearly won with direct ideas and comments. McCain hit the same tired points which are not that important in the long run. He also is extremely condescending referring to Obama as “that one”. How many times did he say “my friends”? Was any one counting?
