After reading Kevin’s post, I thought I would share with you the most important pieces of furniture (ok, minus the TV) in my living room.
The one on the left is used as an end table and for storage since it has a great hinged lid. Inside is every charger, cable, extension cord that I have ever owned. Really, it’s like the back room at Radio Shack in that box.
The two on the right are used next to my main entertainment center as additional storage. They don’t have lids and are stacked so that they open to the right. Inside are a few more hidden cables and extra books that didn’t fit in my bookshelf.
I also have another (George Dickel, if you’re wondering) that sits in my living room and I think is full of Christmas decorations but I honestly haven’t opened it since I moved so there is no telling what is really in there.
Anyway, they are great. These are much older and I don’t even think liquor is shipped in wooden crates anymore, however. You can still find the wine boxes, though but may need to pull some strings to get them.
I love all four of mine and am very proud to have them. They’ve made great conversational pieces and I hope they will be something that is passed down to the next generation someday.
