A Toast

A friend of mine got married while I was away in Italy. Of course, me being the self-absorbed person, I completely forgot. (Actually thought it was the end of July, not the end of June.)

This wouldn’t be that big of a deal, except that I’ve had a few IM conversations with him this week and I haven’t mentioned it at all, but was sure to go on and on about my trip to Italy.

Ryan, congratulations on marrying the love of your life. I’ve told you this before, but the love you have for your wife has helped restore my faith in the fact that Love does still in exist in all of the right ways.

Toni, congratulations to you as well. I obviously don’t have to tell you this, but you’re getting a pretty decent guy. I don’t know if we’ll ever meet, but from the stories I’ve been told (and the many pictures I’ve seen) you have such a loving soul and I know he saw this in you from day one. I’ve had a few guy friends get married and none of them have ever told such a beautiful story as Ryan tells about you.
