My beautiful and amazing friends….photo from Friday night at Lauren’s house where her mom (hands down one of my top 5 favorite moms ever - so cool and kind and amazing) cooked us a feast and we talked about life, love and the pursuit of a great 2010.

It is almost all of our 2 year friend anniversary and I love these ladies so much. I’ve said it once (fifteen times? and I’ll say it again…my life wouldn’t be the same here without them.

I had such a good time on Wednesday night with these ladies and yes, Lauren’s mom was so wonderful for cooking a great dinner and listening to our crazy stories without thinking we were completely insane.

Ditto on everything Sarah wrote about ‘friendiversaries’.

I guess those are two different ways to look at the scenario. I recently read an article on CNN that talked about how some women don’t take advantage of going on vacations and experiencing things because there is a tendency to wait around to do something with a boyfriend or future husband. I know other girls that refuse to go out to a nice dinner by themselves. If I waited around for someone to take me to a nice dinner, I’d still be waiting.

I’ve always been that ‘on my own’ type of person. I’ve traveled alone, currently live alone, and when I was a child I was perfectly content sitting in my room with a puzzle or my stuffed animals as opposed to always having friends over. Many times, I just don’t want to be bothered by other people.

I disagree with it being a 10 without spring training, though. That’s the part that I actually wish I had other people to join me. Sitting at a ballpark drinking beer by myself seems less enjoyable than sitting on a beach by myself drinking beer.

Regardless of the lameness factor, if I want to go, I’ll end up going. Simple.

Snow lightning and thunder now. Pretty heavy winds. At least a foot already accumulated.

Part of me is jealous. I haven’t even seen a flurry here in NY, yet.

Let’s talk about the lame factor for a single girl to jet off to North Palm Beach for a few days on her own for the purpose of seeing sunshine, sandy beaches, and spring training.

On a scale from 1-10… 10 being the lamest thing ever.
